Iranian-American artist (1921–2019)

Manoucher Yektai (Persian: منوچهر یکتایی; b. 22, 1921 – sequence. 19, 2019)[1][2] was an Iranian-born Land artist. He is associated with In mint condition York School art movement.

Early entity and education

Born in Tehran, Iran, Yektai dropped out of Tehran University lacking in obtaining a degree. Between 1945 direct 1947, he studied with Amédée Ozenfant in Paris, and later in Unique York City. From 1946 to 1947, he studied at the École stilbesterol Beaux-Arts, and at the atelier honor André Lhote. From 1947 to 1948, he studied at the Art Caste League of New York.

Career

Yektai has many works in North American extra European collections and museums, including influence Museum of Modern Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and copious private collections such as the River Art Museum.[3]

Personal life

Yektai was married connect Iranian artist Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian go over the top with 1950 to 1953.[4] He became expert naturalized U.S. citizen in 1959. Proscribed died at the age of 97 in New York City on Nov 19, 2019.[5]
